I don't know where my blackman's came from. All I know is that my grandmother Emma Blackman
married Robert Allen Edwards in 1907. They lived in or near Johnston County. I have no dates of birth,
death or marriage. They had three children, Lydie Right Edwards, Susie Lucille Edwards, and Kathleen
Edwards. I would appreciate any info you have.

I am sure, if your Blackman's came from Johnston Co., they would be kin to my Blackman's. I will try
  to find info for you.

Rhonda, Sorry it took me so long to respond. I just saw your post. I recently found out that my
grandmother, Emma Blackman, was the daughter of Right Blackman and Sarah "Lessy" Baker. I
haven't been able to find Right's parents yet though. If you have any info, I would greatly appreciate it.
I don't have anything on the Blackman's to share with you, unfortunately. Even though there were
"millions" of blackmans in Johnston County, they are not easy to track down!.

Debbie, My name is Roveta and I have been researching the Blackman's of Johnston County for
approximately 10 years. Right Blackman's parents are Arthur Blackman and Sarah "Sally" Stanley. If I
can help you in any way just let me know.

  Roveta:
Thank you so much for the info. That just leaves one missing link for me. Do you know anyone who is
researching Sellers from Johnston County? I'm trying to find the parents of Sallie Sellers, my great
  grandmother.
  Thanks again for the info.

  Roveta,
When I started looking at dates, I don't see how Arthur Blackman and Sarah Stanley could be Right
Blackman's parents. My Right Blackman was born in 1854. Arthur was born in 1770 so he would have
been over 80 years old when Right was born. There must be another Right Blackman. Let me know if
  you have additional information.

  Thanks for your help!
