Could someone please lookup theh family of Benjamin Marshall (born 1809) and his wife Caroline (Sellers) (born 1809) in the 1860 and 1870 Louisa Co. Iowa Census. I suspect that they would be in Marshall Township.
Thanks very much!
Ann (Jobe) Brown
WHAT info are you looking for?
WHICH child do you connect to and WHERE did they go?
WE have worked on these SELLERS families, but, I show NO link on our
LOUISA CO, IA page!!!
WE have links to GREENE, JEFFERSON, CLARK CO, OH
and RICHMOND, VA = county or city?
BUT, we need help Proving these families = following them thro EACH
COUNTY and their BIRTH PLACES.
JOHN SELLERS 1809, civil war file states born near RICHMOND, VA.
IS this the town or county?
I posted both places, but, if maybe the town = HENRICO CO, VA.
ANY HELP APPRECIATED.

Where the Sellers first come in is Paul Bolser 'Paulser' Sellers
(1781 PA -
1851 OH) who married Sarah JOB (abt 1787 Shenandoah Co., VA - 1833/40
Green
Co., OH). They married January 29, 1809 Berkley Co., West
Virginia. They
are on the 1820 and 1830 Green Co., Ohio Census and also the 1850
Green Co.,
Ohio Census.
I'm sending you my chart for this family in attachment. You
can also find
it on my file, Jobe Legacy on World Connect.
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown
By the way, I also show Paul Bolser 'Paulser' Sellers to be the s/o
Philip
Sellers and Hannah Gordon. So far I have only tried to trace Paul's
descendants as they are the ones who are also Jobe descendants -
my
interest. I'm interested in anyone and their descendnats mentioned
in the
attachment.

Generation No. 1
1. PAUL BOLSER 'PAULSER'2 SELLERS (PHILIP1) was born 3 September 1781 in Pennsylvania, and died 27 February 1851 in Ohio. He married SARAH JOB 29 January 1809 in Berkley Co, Virginia, daughter of THOMAS JOB and CHARITY REES. She was born Bet. 1787 - 1788 in Shenandoah Co, Virginia, and died Bet. 1833 - 1840 in Green Co., Ohio.
Notes for PAUL BOLSER 'PAULSER' SELLERS:
Please see wife for notes and sources!
Notes for SARAH JOB:
1812 -April 15: (Berkley Co, VA)
An indenture was made in Berkley Co., VA between Charity Job, Thomas Rees Sr, Paul Sellars and his wife Sarah on one part and Elisha Boyd of the Town of Martinsburg. For the sum of $310.63 a tract of land belonging to the late Thomas Job which included 150 acres, two roads, all houses, buildings, water courses, and other appurtenances were transferred to Elisha Boyd. (Note: Paul and Sarah Sellars were the son-in-law and daugther to Charity Job, and it is probably that Thomas Rees Sr was father-in-law to Charity)
1820 - Greene Co, Ohio Census - Ross Township
1830 -Greene Co, Ohio census - Miami Township
1832 -May 5 - Jesse Jury, Thomas Green, Paul Sellers, Abner
Todhunter, Richard Jury, William Eyre, Job Ellis, and Thomas Rees Job,
legal heirs of Charity Job, deceased, agree to sell personal property of
decedent.

It was the obituary of Nathan "Clay" Littler which said his parents
were Malinda and Stephen Littler. Because of the age of these children
in the 1850 census, I really believe this was Belinda with an incorrect
age and name.

1904q-Paul Seller's estate was settled and distributed by the Court
of Common Please, Clarke Co, Ohio. It consisted of $2925.00 from
the sale of real estate. After court costs and attorney fees and
debts paid, the net proceeds for distribution was $2410.64. The amount
was distributed to the grandchildren of Paul Sellers. The statement
said, 'in the case of Albert Sellers et al vs Reese Sellers et. al"
