In conjunction with the diary there are some nice genealogical notes, though unfortunately not much as to Susan Sillers´s family – but some.

1880 census Allen is actually Allison your ancestor b 15 Mar 1870 -he has a twin named after Alison's brother Henry who laid out in the hills after he ran away from the 28th D AL Reg. His brother Henderson was killed.in the War and his brother Alison had his right arm blown off. He had been 18 when he was drafted. His family were Unionists.

Hello List:
I hope this is the correct list to post my inquiry. Does anyone know
the name and/or owner of the small cemetery (entirely fenced in) sitting
among business establishments on Green Springs Hwy, Homewood, AL behind
LaVoy's Resturant. The cemetery has fallen on hard times. The grass is
overgrown covering some of the markers. It seems to be full of beer bottles and
trash.
It makes my heart hurt and I would like to know how to help. I am all

for taking my lawnmower over and cleaning it up BUT I am afraid that
someone would object (law enforcement etc.). I did note that some of the
surnames
were: SELLERS, STARR AND DURHAM. I wondered if there are others out
there possibly hunting their loved ones resting place and don't know of this
cemetery's existance? It is difficult to tell but I believe that there
are about 30 or so graves some dating back to 1850 and early 1900.

Any help or suggestions would be welcomed.

Dear Marie:
Thanks for the response. No, I'm sorry I didn't copy the names -- I
entered the cemetery through an open gate. I was a little afraid that I might be
arrested for trespassing if the police came. I had on shorts/sandles and
thus was afraid with all the weeds (poison ivy) possibly snakes etc. that
I
made a quick look see. I think I need to return (this time prepared with
long jeans/boots, with paper and pencil and see what I can find. There
were two very unusual graves - at least unusual to me. They appear to have
buried the individual on top of the ground in concrete tomb type thing, with the
marker sat on top of that. I know if probably wasn't concrete but it was
white mortar stone stuff. I don't know when concrete was invented.
Anyway,
I'm rambling on -- sorry. I hope to hear from someone who maybe can help
or at least guide me. My sister says that I need to call the Boy Scouts
(apparently they might consider taking it on as a project (good deed) and
would receive a merit badge. However, I am afraid to involve them until I
know whether or not anyone will object.

Any suggestions?

who had 8 childen in Tuscaloosa ct.AL from 1831-48. One of their childen Polly H (Mary) married
? Bird. Her child Clayton Mack b 2-28-1862 AL married Mary Fleming.Their 11 children should
also be listed in this CD.If you have trouble locating it, I'll try to get the info to you.

Dr. Henry Graham Sellers

Dr. Henry Graham Sellers is said to have delivered my mother and all her siblings who were born in Jefferson County between 1901 and 1917. I can only find a Henry G. Sellers in the 1900 census, age 25, and he is listed as being in school at that time. He is the son of John W. Sellers who was born c 1850. Sometimes the "Sellers" surname is spelled "Sillers" in census records.

Is there any record of a Dr. Henry Graham Sellers who lived in or near Birmingham between 1900 and 1920 or beyond?
