Rebecca Sellers Ross was 63
Child #7 & 9 was still in house-hold.
1920
Rebecca Ross was in the house-hold alone.
she was 74 years old. I have been told that she moved into the house
with
Julious Alexander Ross, her oldest son before she died 1922.
She is buried in the Goodman Cemetery.
Thank you Hugh , this Mt. Tabor is a church and cemetery that
was one of
the churches, Zoar Church and Cem. was the second , that the Johnson's,
Pridgen's
and Millers built in Coffee co, when Elba and Sampson was
first setteled
or when they first went to that area, I was told it was on old
Sampson and
Elba Rd, you know me i have no idea where that road is . I went
to Zoar
Cem,
back last March i spent two hours looking for it, don't
ask me how in the
world they found it in the firat place, Margaret and i rode
by this one
house i know 5 times before we finaly got up the nerve to ask this
old
gentelman where the cemetery was he said well dearys don't fell
bad i have
to tell people all the time where it is , we had rode past the turn
off to
it every time . it is well hidden. Mt. Tabor is most likly
a forgotten
cemetery. anyway I was looking for James S. Johnson and
Nancy Pridgen
Johnson's grave I have been told they were buried there. Thanks
once again
Ann .

If any of the descendents of Allen Pridgen are still with the Pridgen
group
i need help if anyone can help. Allen b.1814 died 1877 md.
Mary ? NC or
Ga. moved to Coffee co , Al. had several children, he returned to Taylor
Co, Ga. Mary died then Allen md. Sarah Goff 1853 they had several children
according to 1860 coffee co Al. census Allen and Sarah had James, John,
Thomas, Elizabeth, and Margaret . I could't find Sarah's grave I
went to
Taylor Co, Ga. records looking for information on
Mary . ? much to my
suprise i found Sarah Prigeon wd. /o Allen ; md.1853 she has in her house
hold daughter Barefield, Adeline [Pridgeon] with four granddaughters and
1
grandson. in the house before Sarah is listed James R. Pridgen his
wife
and
family also listed is Eliza Pridgeon 22. all this info is on the 1880
Taylor
Co, Ga.
the spelling of Pridgen is spelled in three ways this is all one family
i
think these children are Sarah's and Allens children there was also
a
reference to a Mary Downing which could also be one more of their children
If
any one can help with this please let me hear from you

A few months ago when I heard about the lost Bible of
William and family I
sent E-mails to every Pridgen, Sellers in GA and Al. I sent return
letters
and stamped envelopes. There were no replies. Then the
phone rang the other
night and Mr. Jimmy Pridgen called me. He told me about his aunt
living in
Enterprise, Al. , now in Georgia. She had a family Bible
with names in it.
I was so excited I didn't think I could get off the phone fast enough
to call
her. Jimmy knows nothing about his family tree. His father was
William and I
think his father was William. They are buried in Enterprise,
Al. Don't read
to fast it doesn't get better. I was going to go get this Bible.
The aunt
only lives about 2 hours from us. To make a long story short
when I called
her she was really OLD. She doesn't remember who her grand father
is and I
don't think she remebers much about her father. Well, she did
tell me she
had a Bible, but she thought it was only her mother and father.
She was not
felling well so I cut it short.
I have written Jimmy and told him to be sure that the family Bible
is saved
and the next time he visits her to look at it and let me know what
he has in
it. I am going to try to find out if he is related to Moses or
Allen Wright.
I aged a lot that night.
