I just reviewed the 1850 Chambers County, Alabama census on Samuel
M.
Burdette and it looks like the wife's name is Taletha and the daughter
looks like Taletha also. It is definitely not Tabitha. The
census
taker crossed the "t" all the way across the "L" the T and the H but
it
looks like Taletha to me. Looking at the S and the T's he made,
it is
not an S as it looks exactly like a T for the name Thomas. I think
I
have seen the name Talitha used.
