Lorraine Coe
Lorraine Coe, 91, of Fort Worth, a lifetime resident of
Wichita Falls, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in Fort
Worth.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan.
4, 2001, in Crestview Memorial Park with the Rev.
Danny Gwinn officiating. Arrangements are under the
direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Coe was born Dec. 21, 1909, in Lorraine,
Texas. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Coe Bonner
of Fort Worth and Pansy Coe Freeman of Midland,
Texas; a sister, Juanita Inman of Wichita Falls; a
brother, Jerry Sellers of Wichita Falls; 10
grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at
the funeral home.
I am searching for a living descendant of SUSAN E. (DEAN/BRUNER) EVANS,
born abt. Nov. 1866 to early 1867 in JACK CO., TX. Her middle name
could
have been EMMA or ESTER. Her parents were LEVI M. DEAN, b. 1841
RED RIVER
CO., TX, d. Jan. 14, 1868 JACK CO., TX. and EMALINE BETHANIA SELLERS, b.
Jan. 25, 1849 in AL. Susan's parents were married on Feb. 1, 1866
in JACK
CO., TX, but she used the sirname of her mother's 2nd husband, JACOB L.
BRUNER, since her real father died when she was only abt. 1 year old.
The
only father she ever really knew was JACOB BRUNER but he & EMMALINE
wenttheir separate ways in about 1886.
Miss SUSAN E. BRUNER was in the FORT WORTH CITY DIRECTORY in 1885-1886
as
working for GEORGE GAYMON. Her mother, "MRS. E.B. (EMALINE BETHANIA)
BRUNER is listed as a widow of Jacob from 1889-1906. In 1907 Emaline
was
living with her batchelor son, Seth, in Shawnee, OK. In EMALINE's
obituary, she had a daughter, MRS. S.E. EVANS living in FORT WORTH, TX.
This was March, 1931.
Supposedly SUSAN E. (DEAN/BRUNER) EVANS had a son named ED ENNIS EVANS.
If
any of this looks familiar or if anyone is related to these people or
working on this line, I would really like to hear from you and am happy
to
share what information I have.

Morning Marie. I just wanted to pass onto to you and the other Sellers, who two of these Sellers buried in this Cemetery are. Thomas J. Sellers who was born in Peoria, Illinois was the son of my great grandfather Thomas J. Sellers, Sr. also born in I believe Peoria. And that Thomas, Sr. was the son of Asa Sellers, Jr. born in Green County Pa. about 1843. Young Thomas as he was called would had been my mothers uncle. He married a Marie L. (also buried here) Van Dusen in Peoria. They can be found in the 1930 Peoria census listed with a young son, another Thomas. Thomas and Marie had I believe had four children, I don't know if any of these other Sellers buried in said cemetery are his children.
